REMCOOP as a workers’ cooperative, operates within special laws and provisions granted by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Our cooperative’s legal structure allows us to extend to lenders and investors tax benefit from income earned by REM Coop. We can participate as a fiscal agent for grants and investment capital.

We are a workers cooperative as per Act 239, with the following main services 1- Promote and aggregate energy producers under a cooperative membership model. 2- Provide financing to commercial and large photovoltaic projects. 3- Operate a group purchasing program for installers and renewables industry providers that includes both operations and maintenance (O & M) plans, a discounted cost parts replacement program. 4- Provide educational services to other cooperatives, especially energy cooperatives in Puerto Rico.
